Wayne Fueling Systems, a provider of fuel-dispensing, payment, automation and control technologies for etail and commercial fuel stations, has announced
the launch of Wayne Cloud Solutions, a suite of forecourt
technologies and services that operate with the Wayne Fusion
forecourt system to direct data into cloud-hosted servers.
These cloud-based services bene;t the fuel retailer by
simplifying payment compliance, providing integration with
mobile payment and loyalty systems, enhancing the customer
experience with media-content delivery, and improving
operational ef;ciencies with new point-of-sale systems and
remote management and diagnostics.
Wayne’s cloud-based electronic payment system (EPS in
the Cloud) is the ;rst to use Intel Services’ “Platform for Retail”
software to help fuel retailers deploy industry payment changes
across multiple sites, virtually instantaneously.
The Wayne EPS processes electronic payment transactions
with an additional level of security at the fuel dispenser or
point-of-sale (POS) via tokenization—a process by which
credit card data (user name, card number and other personal
information) are encrypted and a token is used as an identi;er
for the transaction.
To give the retailer access to more actionable data, Wayne’s
EPS in the Cloud solution provides a centralized interface for
payment transaction logs, reports and auditing. The reporting
is accessible on demand for a single location or across multiple
locations. Monitoring and reporting for retail fueling sites are
made easier with Wayne’s remote management and diagnostics.
Access to network-wide analytics can help reduce operational
expenses and increase uptime and availability.
Wayne’s gateway also allows fuel retailers to accept a variety
of mobile payment and loyalty programs, respond to new
payment technologies, and deploy new mobile programs.
“Cloud-based solutions signi;cantly shorten the delivery
time of new innovations to the industry,” said Tom Chittenden,
Senior Manager, Strategic Initiatives, Wayne Fueling Systems.
