that there are at most 1,000 CNG fueling stations, of
which only half are public.
As light-duty CNG vehicle prices drop and the
vehicles become more prevalent, more consumers and
light-duty ;eet operators will become interested in
making the switch—and that will create momentum
for developing a widespread fueling infrastructure.
What’s the upward potential? NGVi compares
it to the diesel industry’s decision to expand beyond
heavy-duty trucks and develop a true public infra-
structure. In that case, the conventional wisdom was
that a network of fueling stations equal to 10 percent
of the number of gasoline stations would be required
to create a level of convenience that would encourage
and facilitate the transition to diesel fuel. With roughly
160,000 public petroleum fueling stations today, apply-
ing that same target to CNG suggests that 16,000 CNG
stations might someday be required at traditional retail

No pipe system does it better than FLEXWELL-HL when it comes to marina fuel
piping*. The inherent flexibility of the corrugated double-wall stainless steel
pipe compensates the tidal changes without any fittings over water. This pipe
can run from tank to dispenser without transitions or connections.
